Comet Automobile Company was founded by George W, Jagers in Decatur Illinois, in 1917. They took a shot at the tractor business during 1919 and 1920. The company never produced after 1922. The company was offered for sale in late 1922 but there were no bidders. All assets were sold in 1923.
